Don't I deserve what I want? A question that I asked myself recently & heard the answer to. I believe that I am a great person, with a heart that is able to overflow for others. Sometimes our biggest strengths are also our biggest weaknesses at the same time. I give people the benefit and find it easy to see the great person they are beyond what they may have been through.
That said, maybe it is because I have been through so much in my life. I don't believe for a second though that anyone has to go through so much to have the same. I see this ability as emotional maturity. If I had to define emotional maturity, I would say, it is the ability to identify your own wants/needs/desires and have compassion beyond simple judgment.
I believe that to have a successful relationship. We all need to communicate our thoughts and emotions effectively, share interests, share beliefs, and trust one another. Sometimes I guess it is hard to get past what someone else has been through. I think that the reason it is hard to get past for some people is fear. The "What if something that happened in their past happened to me?" Fear is a feeling that is only here to keep people from reaching their highest potential.
So, I guess I challenge anyone who happens to read this to take something in their life that they may have been holding back on pushing themselves to do for their own good. Picture yourself holding that fear in your hand and open your hand in front of your face and just blow away the fear. Then do it, whatever you have been holding yourself from. Do it for Peace, do it out of Love, and create some Happiness!
Bless You!
