The Journey

It is 100% true that the journey is more important than the destination. As I rode to my goal of 55 miles this week, the wind and rain chilled my skin to the point of numbness. In those moments, I had thoughts of turning back and giving up on my goal. In my moments of weakness, I find the most honesty and purity in my thoughts. They are not distracted, confused, or misled by the context of the outside world. I am able to step back and look at myself, my actions, and my life like I am looking at someone else.

From this objective standpoint, I free myself from feelings I may have toward the things I am going through and accurately gauge the gravity of the things I am dealing with and actions I take. Furthermore, it gives me a more accurate sense of others actions toward myself. I am the first to admit that I have made mistakes in my life and paid dearly for some. I am also the first to say I know that my mistakes, idiosyncrasies, and outlook on the world all work together to make me the wonderful person I am today. I do not mean this in any sort of overly confident way, but I know that I was created to overcome and prosper in the face of opposition and challenge.

The fact is that every one of us is unique and wonderful. A true blessing to the world for our talents brought out through an amazing mix of timing and calling. These things are all learned along the road on our journeys called life. The journey of life is the most beautiful, wonderful, and amazing gift we are given and may give. Everyone searches for something in life. While you are on your search, don't forget about the beauty of your journey. Peace, Love, & Happiness to you all!

Bless You!
